The Best Nintendo 64 “Quick Fix” Games
Martin Watts January 17, 20135. Bakuretsu Muteki Bangaioh
This Japanese exclusive 2D shmup is absolutely off the hook. The gameplay is fast-paced, action-packed and does a superb job of deliberately bringing the frame rate to a sluggish crawl.
The story makes about as much sense as a talking pineapple, which is just as well, because that means it doesn’t get in the way of the fast and frantic gameplay. Levels are relatively short and you’ll probably feel worn out after the first two or three anyway.
